Amanda Medsger is a native Texan, born and raised in the Houston area, though she has spent a good part of her professional career in Austin, Spain, and New York City. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, with a degree in Creative Advertising.  She began her career in visual merchandising at an upscale grocery market on Austin's South Congress Boulevard, learning how to craft beautiful displays to showcase quality food items. She went on to become a freelance display and installations artist for various retail locations, including a time at Anthropologie (a company known for its striking and creative retail installations) as their resident display coordinator.  Feeling particularly inspired by the cuisine and landscape in Spain (after living an working in Madrid in 2010), Amanda came back to the states to continue her passionate career in prop styling. She was partner at a successful interior design firm in Houston for 3 years (working on a number of restaurant projects as well as many residential interiors), while continuing to cultivate her love for all things food-related. Now, Amanda works as a full-time prop stylist for hire in Texas and beyond, combining her love of food with her appreciation and knowledge of objects, interiors, and all things design-related.
